This article looks at some of the obstacles that are faced by educators who are attempting to reach out to students and youths who seem depleted of motivation and drive. It zooms in on what the steps the practitioner can take to improve his current predicament. Understanding our intention and motivation for helping such students may liberate educators from unnecessary stress and anxiety. This helpful mnemonic model provides an avenue for educators to remain resilient and be empowered to overcome such resistant students.
