The Youth Worker is entrusted with and accountable for the implementation
of CARE’s programs & services to help youths:
- raise their level of self esteem
- find opportunities to experience success
- build resilience
- enhance awareness of actions and consequences
- promote goal-directed and value-guided behaviour

DELIVER impactful lifeskills lessons and plan activities to
achieve the objectives listed above, in big or small groups.
ESTABLISH rapport with students so...
- Students feel comfortable to seek help from you
- You can assess and identify at-risk youth, compile Risk
Assessment Report & plan strategies for dealing with
them
- You can identify students’ strengths or talents,
and motivate students to higher achievements.
MOTIVATE & inspire, help & support students to
- make visible progress in personal discipline and classroom
behaviour
- build personal confidence
- develop the courage to dream & achieve success
PROVIDE reports. Maintain close rapport with teachers and
parents, ensuring greater success in helping our students.

Qualifications needed for Youth Workers:
- Degree in Counselling, Psychology, Education or Social
Work
- Relevant experience in working with youths
