PRINCIPALS [top]

  • Thank you for working with our NT students. ...they told me that the Uth Power programme is not good, but VERY good!...that the lessons are the best!
    Mrs Poh Mun See, Principal

  • Our boys are more focussed in their academic work, more appreciative of their teachers, school and families. They think ahead, are more matured and balanced in their thoughts and outlook. They have really come a long way...On behalf of the school, Thank you for the fine work done with the boys!
    Mr Marcel Lee, Principal

  • I appreciate the close and quality partnership with CARE. When first introduced in 2003, I didn't imagine the transformation it could contribute. Our students and staff have benefitted tremendously!
    Miss Tay Lai Ling, Principal

TEACHERS [top]

  • CARE’s activities helped students who have lost hope in themselves realize that they could actually succeed. These students have become more confident and are motivated to work harder academically.
    Mr Gary Ong

  • I was impressed by how the CARE staff could motivate all our pupils to work with them and channel their energy in all the right directions. It was amazing how our pupils would put on their best behaviour for them… What really touched me is how they could bring out the best, even in our very “hardcore” boys.
    Mrs Cheryl Chew

    Mdm Nor, parent

  • Thank you so much for responding so promptly to this desperate mum and being so willing to help.
    Mrs Loh, parent

  • I was really depressed. Wondering why carry on living with my sons like this. But now I can hope. Thank you for helping.
    Mrs T, parent.

VOLUNTEERS [top]

  • Getting to know the youths and their painful life stories… created a deep impression on me. I feel I have grown up so much in these past few weeks of volunteering with CARE. I learnt to be slow to judge and ready to listen. For behind every “problem kid” is a story, waiting to be told, heard and understood. Hopefully, before the story escalates to tragedy.
    Melvyn, 20

  • This was an eye opener for me and a culture shock. I was expecting them to be difficult but it ended up worse than I thought. However, after I gained their trust and respect, I began to see the softer side and really feel for them.
    Graeme Loh, 18

  • The first time I saw the boys, my thoughts could be summarized in one word "pathetic". To me, they were a bunch of worthless souls with no aim or objectives in their lives. Many months later, I see a total change. I’m proud of them and what they achieved. I used to wonder, "Can just a few good men make a difference in this world?” After this experience, I now believe, the answer is YES!
    Ravi, 30+
